The Portfolios

What does it mean to be an artist? For me, it is to live with a burning desire to create, be it with seeds, paint, clay, cloth, pencil, brush, hoe, dirt, canvas, or musical instruments. As I experience creation, I am in the realm of mystery. The instant when I know it’s working, and it speaks to me is magical. It feeds my inner self.

I was born and raised in the Midwest during those golden years of farming: post mechanization and pre-corporate farming - the 50’s and 60’s. Because I grew up in the arms of Mother Nature my work is a reflection of that organic synergy.
By sharing my works I offer the viewer a place for contemplation through which they may explore their own synergies.
